The Keizer Fire District will particpate in the 27th Annual National Night Out for 2010

National Night Out is designed to:

o Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
o Generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts
o Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community relations
o Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

On August 3rd from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m, residents in neighborhoods throughout Keizer and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.  Many neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, potlucks, dessert socials, visits from police, firefighters, flashlight walks and youth activities.
